The Pickaway County Visitors Bureau (PCVB) is seeking a passionate and dynamic
individual who is driven to succeed and inspire travel to Pickaway County, to serve as
our Executive Director. This individual will work closely with local businesses, lodging
properties, restaurants, and attractions to foster interest in our county as a year-round
destination for leisure, family, and meeting and convention travelers. Under the
guidance of and with the consultation of the board of directors, the Executive Director
manages and directs the operations of the PCVB including the Welcome Center and
Attract Tourism, the 501(c)3 component of the Bureau’s operations. The Executive
Director provides strategic leadership, develops and implements marketing plans,
cultivates community relations, develops and monitors the budgets, and represents the
PCVB at meetings and events and plans and implements community events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications is desired or
    equivalent education and experience. Experience in marking, public relations,
    travel industry, and some accounting also desired.
  • Knowledge of budget development and possess the skills to administer the
    budget and allocated limited resources in a cost-effective manner
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills: comfortable speaking in
    public
  • Excellent computer skills required
  • Management and supervision experience
  • Transparent and high integrity leadership
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
